Scrap Pork

Scrap the pork barrel is the outcry of thousands of Filipinos who gathered at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on Aug. 26, National Heroes’ Day.  It is believed that the pork barrel is the main source of corruption of elected government officials in the country.   People from all walks of life joined the peaceful rally.  The message was loud and clear – scrap the pork barrel and prosecute the guilty.  The question is will the government listen to the people?
