Coron is a first class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines, comprising the eastern half of Busuanga Island, all of Coron Island and about 50 other minor islets. The Coron Island in Palawan is a wedge-shaped limestone island with a few coastal areas covered by mangrove forests. Famous tourist destinations are the Kayangan Lake, Mount Tapyas, the Twin Lagoon, the Maquinit Hot Springs, Coral Gardens, Shipwrecks, among others.

KAYANGAN LAKE
Coron has seven lakes but the most famous is called Kayangan Lake. Dubbed as the cleanest lake in Asia, Kayangan Lake is a must-see destination spot. It has turquoise waters, towering scenic lime stones and a crystal clear blue lake.
MOUNT TAPYAS
Mount Tapyas offers a breaktaking view of the small town of Coron as well as the surrounding islands in Coron bay. There are about 700 steps to get to the top of the hill. It has a big steel cross that can be seen from a distance, hence impossible to miss. This is one of the most popular tourist destinations because of the spectacular views.
